Clear Air at UN COP27

On 8 November 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 local time (Sharm El-Sheikh) Clear Air held the event Dutch Satellite Innovations for Supporting Climate Action on the United Nations COP27 climate conference in Egypt.

On 8 November 2022 from 9:30 to 11:00 local time (Sharm El-Sheikh) Clear Air held the event Dutch Satellite Innovations for Supporting Climate Action on the United Nations COP27 climate conference in Egypt.

Anton Leemhuis (chairman Clear Air/ TNO), Hugo Denier van der Gon (TNO), and Ilse Aben (SRON) spoke at the event. Goal was to inspire with the practical possibilities to monitor emissions with satellites and help realizing climate policy under the Paris Agreement. The event was held at the Benelux/EIB pavilion of the COP27 and aimed at policy makers and the general climate community.

  • 10.30 – How can Satellite Monitoring be used in Emission Inventories and Support the Realization of Climate Policy under Paris Agreement? (Hugo Denier van der Gon, TNO Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research)
